We design user-friendly and efficient web solutions tailored to industry needs. When based in Nottingham, we supported APX-ENDEX, a leading energy exchange operating spot markets across the Netherlands, UK, and Belgium. We aimed to create a customer services portal that simplifies access to essential data and streamlines user interactions for APX-ENDEX’s clients.
User-centricity
We developed the site with HTML, CSS, and JQuery to make the portal visually clear and highly navigable. Each section provides quick access to crucial information, like trading volumes and market data, which helps APX-ENDEX’s users make informed trading decisions. The clean, minimalistic design enhances usability, while CSS animations bring subtle yet impactful transitions, making navigation seamless.
Using JQuery, we integrated interactive charts and graphs that present real-time energy trading data. These visualisations help users better understand trends across APX-ENDEX’s power markets. This interactive feature empowers users to explore energy volumes and market indices, providing a hands-on experience with the platform.
WordPress Integration
We used WordPress to give APX-ENDEX the flexibility to manage content independently. The content management system allows APX-ENDEX’s team to update market news, announcements, and industry insights as needed. The WordPress backend simplifies ongoing content adjustments, keeping the portal relevant and informative.
Accessibility was key. We ensured compatibility with screen readers and used high-contrast design elements to enhance readability for resolutions specific to tablets and mobile devices. CSS media queries allowed us to optimise the site for all devices, making the portal easy to use on mobile and desktop screens.
We leveraged the WordPress framework for authentication and content publishing to safeguard sensitive trading data. We also implemented SEO best practices, such as meta tags, hierarchical heading structures, and structured data, to ensure the site ranks well in search engines. Our work for APX-ENDEX improved the organisation’s visibility and made it easier for energy sector professionals to find information about the Netherlands-based energy exchange.
