When based in Eastern Europe, we partnered with Bet585, a leading online betting platform, to enhance their server hosting for open-source LAMP environments (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
Our work involved implementing load balancing, backup and recovery solutions, CDN and web-based server-side performance reporting to support our partner’s demanding, high-traffic environment.
LAMP
Bet585 needed a reliable hosting infrastructure to handle its heavy traffic and provide seamless user experiences. We deployed a LAMP stack as the foundation, leveraging the stability and flexibility of Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. This setup allowed Bet585’s platform to scale efficiently while handling complex MySQL-enabled data queries and high volumes of user interactions.
Our optimised LAMP environment delivered the performance and reliability critical to online betting, including:
- Caching static web parts and
- Serving dynamic content for components that require real-time connectivity to the application databases.
Load balancing
We integrated load balancing across Bet585’s servers to ensure optimal performance during peak times. Our load-balancing solution distributes user requests, preventing any single server from being overwhelmed. This setup enhances stability and reduces latency, ensuring a consistent experience for Bet585 users, even during peak betting hours. By balancing the workload, Bet585’s platform stays responsive and fast under high-traffic conditions.
Data protection is essential for online betting platforms. We implemented automated backup and recovery protocols, securing Bet585’s data in case of hardware failures or system disruptions. Our solution includes regular snapshots and scheduled backups, allowing for quick user data recovery. This backup system ensures Bet585 can maintain business continuity, safeguarding user trust and operational integrity.
CDN
For Bet585’s global audience, we integrated a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to improve load times and reduce latency. The Akamai services store static assets on geographically distributed servers, allowing users worldwide to access content faster. This setup improves load times, providing a smooth user experience for Bet585’s international clients. The CDN integration also reduces bandwidth demand on the primary servers, optimising performance.
We implemented Webmin server-side performance reporting to keep Bet585’s infrastructure running smoothly. This feature allows Bet585’s team to monitor CPU usage, memory allocation, and data throughput in real-time. The reporting insights enable proactive maintenance and optimisation, ensuring that server resources are utilised effectively and potential issues are resolved before they impact performance.
