We specialise in designing and delivering robust bespoke IT solutions for businesses seeking efficient and secure digital environments. Whilst based in Eastern Europe, we partnered with Nanochem, a leading Romanian industrial flooring company, to manage and optimise their IT infrastructure. Our collaboration focused on centralising network services, server management, and implementing an integrated Active Directory environment to support their operations.
Nanochem’s network included 20 desktop computers, requiring seamless connectivity and streamlined access across their facilities. We implemented a centralised management system, enabling efficient control over updates, access permissions, and device health monitoring. This setup enhanced coordination and allowed Nanochem’s team to work collaboratively, supporting administrative and operational workflows with minimal technical disruptions.
Access lists
We deployed a robust Active Directory (AD) to centralise user authentication and access management. By implementing AD, we ensured that Nanochem’s employees could access necessary files, applications, and network resources securely and efficiently. Role-based permissions within AD allowed for differentiated access, so each department—from administrative to technical staff—had the appropriate level of access without compromising sensitive data.
To support Nanochem’s digital needs, we deployed an open-source Linux environment, leveraging Apache as the webserver to host their website and handle domain hosting. This open-source solution is cost-effective and highly secure, providing Nanochem with a stable foundation for digital operations. We configured the Linux server to manage various tasks, including file sharing, VPN access, and email services, creating an integrated system that meets all Nanochem’s IT needs.
VPN and spam filtering
With remote access crucial for Nanochem’s management team, we set up a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN). This VPN ensures encrypted, remote access to Nanochem’s server, allowing authorised users to connect from anywhere while protecting data transmission. Additionally, we configured robust spam filters to secure email communications, reducing the risk of phishing attacks and ensuring clean, professional inboxes.
File sharing is essential for collaborative workflows, especially for project-based companies like Nanochem. We implemented secure file-sharing solutions within the Linux environment, allowing staff to securely access and share critical documents and project data. Furthermore, we established automated backup protocols to protect against data loss, ensuring all files are stored redundantly.
