We take pride in creating digital experiences that are not only functional but also engaging, especially for projects that cater to tourism and cultural exploration. Our work with TBI Vision involved a large-scale upgrade of the client’s pool of microsites, each showcasing different tourist attractions, cultural insights, and travel content.
Over several months, we worked with TBI Vision to transform these microsites into vibrant, interactive platforms designed to captivate and inform users about tourism opportunities worldwide.
Focus on cultural enrichment
TBI Vision’s microsites serve as windows into diverse cultural landscapes, showcasing destinations, events, and experiences from around the globe.
However, the previous framework of these sites lacked the immersive design and functionality needed to engage today’s digitally savvy travellers. Our objective was to make these sites informative and visually stimulating, allowing users to explore tourism-related content dynamically and intuitively.
We aimed to create a digital experience that appealed to users seeking cultural enrichment and practical travel insights.
Modern front-end technologies
To deliver a more engaging user experience, we overhauled the front end using a combination of HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery, creating a seamless and visually rich design that adapts beautifully across devices. HTML5 enabled us to structure the content in a visually appealing and SEO-friendly way, which is critical for reaching a global audience interested in tourism and cultural content.
Using CSS3, we incorporated visually captivating elements such as parallax scrolling and image overlays that bring destinations and cultural stories to life.
To take engagement even further, we reintroduced Flash scripts for interactive maps and slideshows that allow users to explore cultural landmarks, events, and attractions virtually. Flash allowed us to create high-impact visuals and animations, such as pop-up information boxes and image galleries, encouraging users to dive deeper into the content.
These features are essential in tourism websites, allowing users to visually explore destinations before booking a visit.
Creating a dynamic navigation
Using JQuery, we added dynamic interactive elements like collapsible sections for itineraries, expandable image galleries, and animated scroll effects that capture attention. These features make exploring the microsites enjoyable and help users seamlessly navigate through diverse content.
With these intuitive, user-friendly interactions, travellers can browse information on different locations, cultural highlights, and travel itineraries in a way almost as immersive as a physical tour.
Visual consistency
While enriching the microsites with interactive content, we ensured they maintained a unified design and fast load times. We optimised all assets, including Flash and image files, to provide smooth and fast user experiences without compromising quality.
Each microsite was enhanced with structured data, meta descriptions, and clean HTML5 tags, boosting visibility in search engines to attract tourism-focused audiences.
Our work with TBI Vision has transformed their microsites into captivating digital hubs for tourism and cultural exploration. These hubs invite users to discover new destinations and cultures in an interactive, visually appealing, and informative way.
